VTCT (iTEC) Level 4 in Skin Peeling
This course has been created to develop students knowledge, understanding and practical skills when using superficial skin peel products and techniques to rejuvenate the condition of the skin.
Students will acquire skills involved in providing a thorough consultation, skin health checks to establish the client’s suitability for treatment and to formulate a specific treatment plan tailored to suit individual client needs.
Students will be required to prepare and apply a range of skin peels as well as providing the relevant pre and post care.
Course Structure
This course covers the following learning outcomes:
• Know safety considerations when providing skin peel treatments
• Understand how to provide skin peel treatments
• Know the relevant anatomy, physiology and pathologies for skin peeling
• Be able to consult, plan and prepare for treatment
• Be able to provide skin peel treatments
The Theory:
The theory for this course will be completed online through our easy to study webinars, powerpoints & study manuals to download, giving you the underpinning knowledge of the skin needling treatment.
A theory session will also take place at the academy with our head trainer Gabriella.
Students must complete a theory examination for this course. This will consist of a multiple choice question paper, which is mapped to the relevant assessment criteria outlined in the online learning portal.
The theory examination will test knowledge and understanding to ensure full knowledge of the course is achieved.
70% pass rate is required for this paper.
The practical:
This course requires practical training which will take place on your academy training days, including full demonstrations, and case studies which will be assessed to monitor learning.
This course requires a final practical assessment on a live model for course completion.
Certificate:
Once you complete your practical exam and passed we can then we submit our evidence to the awarding body VTCT to claim for your certificate.
The certificate can take up to 12 weeks to be released from the awarding body however you will receive an attendance certificate from the academy which will allow you to obtain or add this treatment to your Public Liability insurance.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
students will be required to:
• Have a good basic education
• Have VTCT Level 3 Beauty, VTCT Level 3 Facials, VTCT Level 3 Anatomy & Physiology or please ask if you are unsure and your qualifications can be checked.
• Students must be over the age of 18
• Have good understanding of the English language
THIS COURSE CAN LEAD TO
On the successful completion of this course, you will be able to demonstrate that you are a highly trained skin therapist and have a worldwide recognised accreditation in Skin Peeling.
You can add this treatment to your public liability insurance on completion of your course.
